Fabric Content:
80% Wool/20% Polyester  soft wool blend, Odalisque reprises two, time-honored motifs associated with paradise and royalty—the paisley and the peacock—into a modern-day pattern with a large scale and a truly luxurious hand. The fabric is an adaptation of a museum-quality Kashmiri shawl from the archives. Textiles of this kind first captivated the west when imported to France in the late 18th-century, where they were used in fashion. The British appropriated them for interiors in the Victorian era and they’ve been endlessly interpreted ever since. This version is woven in Italy and comprises soft, quiet colorations: Grisaille, a winter white mélange of ivory and gray; Tabac, which mingles cream, toffee, and dark gray tones; and Cinnabar, which pairs warm coral with ivory.
